1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account on Klystrr or using any part of the Klystrr platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the platform.
These Terms apply to all users, including users on invitation-only or early access programs.
2. Description of the service
Klystrr is a deployment platform that allows users to connect their own VPS servers and Git repositories in order to deploy, manage, and monitor applications via SSH, PM2, Nginx, and related tools.
Klystrr acts as an orchestration layer. It does not host your code or run your applications on its own infrastructure. All deployments run on servers you own, rent, or control.
3. User responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The servers you connect to Klystrr, including their security configuration, maintenance, and uptime
- The applications and code you deploy, including their compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- All content your applications serve or process
- The credentials (SSH keys, passwords, API tokens, OAuth tokens) you provide to Klystrr
- Ensuring that connecting your server and repositories to Klystrr complies with your VPS provider's and Git hosting provider's terms of service
- Any misuse of resources on your connected servers
Klystrr is not responsible for the actions of your applications, any data your applications process, or any damage caused by misconfiguration, insecure code, or misuse of credentials.
4. Klystrr's responsibilities
Klystrr will:
- Provide a reasonable-effort service to orchestrate deployments as configured by the user
- Store sensitive credentials (SSH keys, tokens) encrypted at rest
- Mask sensitive environment variable values in deployment logs
- Notify users of significant changes to the service or these Terms
Klystrr does not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted availability of the platform
- Successful deployments (which depend on user configuration, server state, and external services)
- Compatibility with all frameworks, languages, or server configurations
- The preservation of deployment logs or history indefinitely
5. Use of connected servers
When you connect a VPS server to Klystrr, you grant Klystrr limited, programmatic SSH access to that server for the purposes you configure (repository cloning, running commands, configuring Nginx, restarting processes via PM2).
You confirm that:
- You own or have the right to grant SSH access to the connected server
- Granting this access does not violate any agreement with your hosting provider
- Klystrr may run commands on your server strictly in accordance with your project configuration
Klystrr will not access your server for any purpose other than executing the tasks required by your configured projects and performing connection health checks.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Klystrr to:
- Deploy applications that violate any applicable law
- Deploy spam, phishing, or malware
- Circumvent security measures or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
- Use the platform to attack, disrupt, or interfere with third-party infrastructure
- Create an unreasonable load on Klystrr's systems or abuse rate limits
- Resell or sublicense access to Klystrr without authorization
Klystrr reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these restrictions without prior notice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Klystrr shall not be liable for:
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits resulting from use of the platform
- Downtime of your applications or servers
- Unauthorized access to your servers or credentials caused by your own configuration choices
- Damages resulting from third-party service failures (GitHub, GitLab, Let's Encrypt, your VPS provider)
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Klystrr's total liability to you, for any cause of action, shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Klystrr in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Account suspension and deletion
Klystrr may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your account is involved in abusive, fraudulent, or illegal activity
- You fail to pay applicable subscription fees (when billing is activated)
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, Klystrr will remove your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Account termination does not affect any obligations you incurred prior to termination.
9. Service availability
Klystrr will make reasonable efforts to maintain platform availability. However, Klystrr does not offer a guaranteed uptime SLA at this stage.
Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure failures, or third-party outages may temporarily interrupt the service. Klystrr will communicate significant outages when possible.
The availability of your deployed applications depends on your own servers and is entirely outside Klystrr's control.
10. Intellectual property
Klystrr and its associated marks, logos, and platform are the intellectual property of Klystrr. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the Klystrr platform beyond a limited license to use it in accordance with these Terms.
You retain full ownership of your code, repositories, applications, and data.
11. Changes to these Terms
Klystrr may update these Terms at any time. When material changes are made, users will be notified via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Klystrr operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
